What we clean
Everything in the closet, including the awkward things
Most of what comes through the door is shirts and suits. The rest is the reason people drive here: leather that needs re-colouring, a gown that has to last thirty years, a comforter that will not fit in a machine at home.

- Suits, dresses, shirts, blouses and slacks, cleaned and finished in-house.

- Hand-finished dress shirts, wash-and-fold, household linens. Your starch, your fold.
- Leather & suede
- Jackets, suede coats and shearling cleaned, re-coloured and re-conditioned.
- Wedding gown preservation
- Hand-cleaned, inspected inch by inch, boxed to last decades.
- Household & down
- Comforters, drapery, tablecloths and area rugs. Bring the bulky things.

Three steps, the way it has always worked

Bring it in
Drop off at either shop during business hours. No ticket to keep. We track by name and phone.

We do the work
Every piece is inspected before it goes in. Stains pre-treated, buttons and trims checked, the right process chosen for the fabric.

Pick it up
You get a real ready-by time at the counter when you drop off. Pressed, on hangers or folded, however you asked.
In the shop
The work happens here, not somewhere else
Nothing is sent out. The cleaning, the pressing and the finishing all happen in the building you drop your clothes off at, done by people who have worked here for years.
Specialty care
The pieces that deserve longer
Wedding gowns are hand-cleaned, inspected inch by inch, and packed into a museum-quality preservation box. Leather and shearling are cleaned, re-coloured and re-conditioned. Vintage fabric, beading, sequins and hand embroidery get the slower treatment they need.
If you are not sure whether we handle something, ask. In thirty-five years the answer has almost always been yes.

- Do I need an appointment?
- No. Walk in any time during business hours. First visit, bring your name and a phone number and we will set up your record at the counter.
- How long does it take?
- You are given a ready-by time when you drop off, and it is a real one. Same-day is available at McKnight Road on weekdays. Ask at the counter.
- Do you clean comforters, drapes and rugs?
- Yes. Down comforters and jackets, drapery, tablecloths and area rugs all come through the shop.
- How long have you been in business?
- Since 1989, the same family, now across two Pittsburgh-area shops.
